All artists, even the rich and famous ones, have both strengths and weaknesses within their artwork. My strengths as an artist include being able to mix and create bold and beautiful colors. In art class we are just handed the basic colors...red, blue, yellow....and told to make our own shades of colors and go from there. So I have developed a strength for creating unique and beautiful colors for my artwork. Another strength I have is time management. Throughout the semester, I always turned my projects in on time. But that doesn't mean I rushed them, I was just the type of artist who could sit there and think, "this is what I need to do today, and this is what I need to have accomplished by the end of this week" and then work hard to meet those deadlines. On the other hand, my weaknesses as an artist start with not wanting to create my own ideas. I like looking online and seeing other peoples art and just twisting it a tiny bit and making it my own instead of just starting with a blank canvas and thinking of my complete own idea. As I move forward as an artist, I can push myself to think outside the box with my materials and ideas and not rely on other people's art as inspiration as much as I do now.
